Welcome to my personal masonic website and blog. Come on in and poke around. There's not a lot here yet, but that's okay, I'm in no hurry. The target audience for this site is Master Masons first, as well as those brothers who have advanced through the various rites and additional degrees. Without the background of at least a Master Mason, my papers, discussions, and other postings may be difficult to follow due to the missing context.

Why a website and blog? I've had some of my papers published by some of the online masonic publishers and that's okay, those publishers were very helpful. But, with the use of others as publishers, you also surrender final editorial decisions to those "others". I've decided, therefore, to retain editorial control over future papers and posts and here we are!
I will be building as I go and I expect to improve the site as well. So bookmark me, subscribe, and hang on for the ride!

I was, as noted, born in Maryland where my father was a mason, his father, and his father before him were masons. My particular journey was late in starting with me waiting until the end of my military career and settling in San Antonio at 41 years of age before I approached a lodge. My journey officially began in 1997 at Somerset Lodge #1205 in Somerset, Texas, just south of San Antonio when I was initiated, I was then passed in 1998, and finally raised in January 1999. I served in the Junior and Senior Deacon chairs there at Somerset before branching out on my journey and affiliated with two other lodges and joining various masonic organizations. It has been a whirlwind of brothers and lodges and travels and I am learning to love it even more as I cross that level of time.
