Brethren, it is done. I have just completed a four-week effort to refresh my website which is formally called “Trestleboard for a Mason’s Journey”, and it is once again ready for prime time! I’ve made a few changes, some upgrades, and I’ve added a new feature!
First, the biggest change a user will notice is that some pages on the site are now behind a “member wall”; it is NOT a pay wall, the site is still free, but some pages are now restricted to those who answer a couple questions and become site members. The “Library” page, the “My Papers” page, and my “Biography” page are now limited to members and the first time a visitor attempts to access one of them they will be prompted to answer those simple questions and join as a member. To compliment this change, I am working on building out a full member section and member profile manager and those enhancements should be ready in about two months.
Next, I changed the name of the “Noah’s Quest” page to “Book Shelf” and it is now the official repository of information about my books with links to Amazon for purchases. With the recent release of “Noah’s Legacy: Rituals & Sacred Memories”, it made sense now to start looking beyond the Noah books and bring some light to the entirety of my current collection and future publications.
Then, I did something completely on the spur of the moment – I created “The Noah Edward Lewis Education Center & Library”, a name that should resonate with anyone who has read the “Noah’s Quest” and “Legacy” series. I was browsing an archive of historical masonic books that I purchased several years ago when I noticed the words “ancient”, “mysteries”, and “Egypt” in the titles of several of the books; my curiosity took over, and after a little research I identified about twenty-five books from the 1700’s, 1800’s, and 1900’s that addressed the very same questions that Noah Lewis faces in “Noah’s Legacy: Rituals & Sacred Memories”. While my storyline for the book is completely fictional, I did try to base its overall theme and Noah’s trials on actual facts and popular masonic theories, and these historic documents clearly prove that the existential questions Noah confronted in “Rituals & Sacred Memories” have also confounded our ancestral brothers for hundreds of years! I felt compelled then to make these books available in a way that pays homage to Noah Edward Lewis and his journey to those who have read the Noah books . The all-new “Noah Edward Lewis Education Center & Library” technically sits behind the new website member wall, but I am leaving it open to the public until May 1st when I will put the membership wall back in place.
So, the “Trestleboard for a Mason’s Journey” is now fully refreshed, and all of the Noah books are fully integrated into its theme and its structure. I invite and encourage you to visit, to join up as a member, and receive email updates with each new blog post and any announcements! I offer a bountiful and growing library of reference documents, source documents, original papers, and topical blog posts for your consideration and enjoyment, so feel free to drop in, look around, and stay a while!
